Über eine halbe Million neue Deutsche in fünf Jahren

In den Jahren zwischen 2012 und 2016 wurden insgesamt 551.000 Personen eingebürgert. Über ein Fünftel davon waren Türken. Dabei leben die meisten dieser Personen bereits sehr lange in Deutschland. Obschon eine Einbürgerung rechtlich bereits nach acht Jahren möglich ist, lag die durchschnittliche Aufenthaltsdauer 2016 bei 17 Jahren.
