Tarifbindung statt Geltung stärken

Abstract

Gewerkschaften kritisieren die geringe Tarifbindung in Deutschland und fordern, dass die Bundesregierung Maßnahmen zur Ausweitung des tarifvertraglichen Geltungsbereichs ergreift. Eine Analyse auf Basis des Sozio-oekonomischen Panels (SOEP) zeigt, dass der Geltungsbereich von Tarifverträgen bei knapp 50 Prozent der Beschäftigten liegt, aber nur 15 Prozent Mitglied einer Gewerkschaft sind. Es sind damit vor allem die Unternehmen, die die derzeitige Reichweite tarifvertraglicher Regelungen sichern.
