Prompt Engineer: Zwischen Hype und Realität

Abstract

Generative KI-Modelle entwickeln sich rasant. Dadurch können neue Berufsbilder entstehen. Ein prominentes Beispiel dafür ist der "Prompt Engineer". Ihm wurden zeitweise hohe Gehälter und einfache Einstiegsmöglichkeiten versprochen. Am deutschen Arbeitsmarkt stellt sich dies jedoch anders dar: Jobsuchende interessieren sich zwar für den Beruf, Arbeitgeber schreiben aber fast keine Stellen aus. Daten aus Online-Stellenanzeigen und Messungen des Suchverhaltens bei der Internet-Jobbörse Indeed verdeutlichen, dass sich der Prompt Engineer nicht als eigenständiger Beruf etablieren konnte.
