Europa muss in die Förderung Seltener Erden investieren

Abstract

Im Handelskonflikt mit den USA hat China erneut damit gedroht, den Export Seltener Erden zu beschränken. Wichtige Teile der industriellen Produktion sind auf diese Rohstoffe angewiesen. Europa ist weiterhin vollständig vom Import Seltener Erden aus China abhängig und daher besonders erpressbar. Andere Länder wie Japan und die USA haben in den letzten Jahren Schritte unternommen, um ihre Abhängigkeit zu verringern. Europa muss schnell mit eigenen Investitionen in Förderprojekte handeln, um das politische Drohpotenzial im Systemkonflikt zu reduzieren
