Schleswig-Holsteins Tourismus nach Corona: Zurück zur Normalität?

Abstract

Der Tourismus hat für Schleswig-Holstein ein größeres wirtschaftliches Gewicht als in vielen anderen Bundesländern. Daher war das Land in den Pandemie-Jahren in besonderem Maße von Lockdowns, Reisebeschränkungen und Infektionsschutzauflagen betroffen, die den touristischen Betrieb zum Erliegen brachten oder zumindest stark einschränkten. Der Autor analysiert die Entwicklung des Tourismusgeschäfts in den Corona-Jahren und zieht einen Vergleich zwischen der Vor- und Nach-Corona-Zeit. Dabei wird die touristische Entwicklung in Schleswig-Holstein in einem Bundesländervergleich eingeordnet sowie eine Corona-Bilanz für die schleswig-holsteinischen Reisegebiete und Beherbergungsbetriebe gezogen. Im Rahmen einer Konzentrationsanalyse wird die Entwicklung der Saisonalität im Land und seinen Reisegebieten während der Corona-Zeit untersucht. Es wird diskutiert, wie sich die Bedingungen für ein qualitatives Wachstum des Tourismus in Schleswig-Holstein in den Corona-Jahren entwickelt haben.
