Zum Einfluss der Witterungsbedingungen auf die Bauinvestitionen

Abstract

Während die Bauinvestitionen mittel- bis langfristig von strukturellen Faktoren wie den Finanzierungsbedingungen abhängen, kann die Witterung kurzfristig einen erheblichen Einfluss auf die Bauaktivität haben. Die Bautätigkeit dürfte allerdings nur in Zeiten mit harscher Witterung beeinträchtigt sein. Mit bessernder Witterung dürfte die Aktivität unmittelbar wieder zulegen. Fraglich ist allerdings, in welchem Maß Nachholeffekte einsetzen, so dass das Niveau der Bauinvestitionen im Jahr insgesamt weniger oder gar nicht beeinflusst wird. Dies dürfte von der Stärke der Beeinträchtigung und der Kapazitätsauslastung abhängen. Beide Einflüsse sollen im Folgenden empirisch untersucht werden.
