ADHS und Finanzen – Die unsichtbaren Barrieren im Blick: Es braucht neue Ansätze in der Sozialen Schuldnerberatung!

Abstract

Seit dem Jahr 2023 gibt es das Berliner Projekt "Papierkram", um Menschen mit ADHS besser bei finanziellen Schwierigkeiten unterstützen zu können. Wegen ihrer speziellen kognitiven Herausforderungen haben Betroffene von ADHS ein dreimal höheres Risiko für finanzielle Probleme und Überschuldung im Vergleich zur allgemeinen Bevölkerung. Über ein Jahr hinweg wurde mit "Papierkram" ein digitaler Arbeitsraum eingerichtet, der darauf ausgelegt ist, finanzielle Aufgaben effektiv zu bewältigen, Überforderungen zu mindern und die unsichtbaren Hürden im Alltag zu verringern. Im Rahmen dieses Überschuldungsradars werden ausgewählte kognitive Hindernisse, die bei ADHS von großer Tragweite sind, erläutert, damit die Bedarfe dieser bisher weitestgehend unerkannten Gruppe künftig besser in der Beratungspraxis berücksichtigt werden kann.
