Schuldnerberatung – mehr als nur Expertenberatung?

Abstract

Bei aller Orientierung, die uns diesen Charme der Restschuldbefreiung bietet, tappt die Schuldnerberatung hinsichtlich ihres ursprünglichen Anliegens, das Problem Verschuldung ganzheitlich zu bearbeiten, inzwischen im Dunkeln und kommt über technokratische Abläufe der Insolvenzmaschinerie nicht mehr oder nur noch selten hinaus. Einem ganzheitlichen Anspruch gerecht zu werden und die Beratung bei Verschuldung wieder mehr als Soziale Arbeit zu sehen erfordert, den Betroffenen die Deutungshoheit der Ziele der Beratung zu überlassen, mit ihnen Möglichkeiten und Wege zu suchen, ihre Ziele zu erreichen um schließlich das zu ermöglichen was Beratung möchte: Zum eigenverantwortlichen Umgang mit Geld und Schulden zu befähigen.
