Abstract

Welche Einstellung haben die Deutschen hinsichtlich Weiterbildung und was sind ihre Gründe, an entsprechenden Maßnahmen teilzunehmen? Das zu wissen, ist die Grundlage für bildungspolitische Entscheidungen zur Gestaltung der Weiterbildung. Die vorliegende Erhebung zeigt, dass insbesondere subjektive Einstellungen, soziales Umfeld, schulische und berufliche Abschlüsse sowie das Haushaltseinkommen die Sicht auf Weiterbildung beeinflussen. Die finanzielle Verantwortung wird beim Arbeitgeber, aber auch beim Staat gesehen. Vor allem Frauen wünschen sich mehr staatliche Unterstützung, und das große Interesse von älteren Menschen und Personen mit Migrationshintergrund ist überraschend. Deutlich wird zudem, dass es an Informationen zu Fördermöglichkeiten und Rechtsansprüchen wie den Bildungszeitgesetzen der Länder mangelt.
