Milliardenvermögen in Deutschland: Lücken der Reichtumserfassung und -besteuerung - Vorschlag für einen alternativen Reichtumsbericht

Abstract

In Bezug auf die Gruppe der Superreichen dominiert in Deutschland die interessengetriebene Forschung und die darauf aufbauende Lobbyarbeit: Der Armuts- und Reichtumsbericht der Bundesregierung wird der gesellschaftlichen Bedeutung dieser Gruppe nicht gerecht, und die Forschung zur Vermögensverteilung beruft sich auf lückenhafte Befragungen und zu journalistischen Zwecken erstellte Reichenlisten. Das vorliegende Papier vermisst die Lücken der Reichenlisten, unterzieht die typischen Mythen rund um große Vermögen und deren Besteuerung einem Realitäts-Check und zeigt schließlich, dass sich die Wissenslücken rund um die Superreichen zu einem großen Teil anhand öffentlich zugänglicher Informationen schließen ließen. Damit schafft es die Grundlage für einen alternativen Reichtumsbericht.
