Mitbestimmung in Zulieferketten: Instrumente der deutschen Außenwirtschaftspolitik

Abstract

Das deutsche Mitbestimmungsmodell kann vor dem Hintergrund seiner positiven demokratischen und wirtschaftlichen Wirkungen für andere am Weltmarkt beteiligte Nationen von Interesse sein. In der Studie wird daher untersucht, wie die Bundesregierung die betriebliche und Unternehmensmitbestimmung in ihrer Außenwirtschaftspolitik systematischer als bisher berücksichtigen kann, um das Mitbestimmungsmodell im Ausland bekannter zu machen. Dazu werden konkrete Ansatzmöglichkeiten und Vorschläge unterbreitet, wie das deutsche Mitbestimmungssystem im Ausland unterstützt und in global operierenden deutschen Unternehmen über die deutschen Grenzen hinaus effektiv umgesetzt werden kann. Für den Erhalt des bewährten Systems innerhalb Deutschlands sollte zudem Klarheit darüber bestehen, welche Auswirkungen bevorstehende Handelsabkommen auf die Mitbestimmung haben könnten.
