Abstract

Elementary teacher education is also one of the most important educations, which helps teacher to equip well with modern teaching skills, methods, and teaching technology for effective teaching learning process for quality elementary school education. The realization of objectives of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is possible mainly, when the effective and efficient teachers are teaching in the classroom, where students can learn without any burden. Therefore, the article tries to find out the quality status of elementary teacher training given at DIET (District Institute of Educational Training), Imphal West District by collecting the opinion of teacher trainees during the internship course.
