Abstract

Tegen het licht van de veranderingen op en buiten de arbeidsmarkt, zou een Leven Lang Ontwikkelen (LLO) een vanzelfsprekend onderdeel van een ieders werk en leven moeten zijn. LLO kan veroudering van skills tegengaan en ervoor zorgen dat nieuwe skills eigen gemaakt worden, zodat men duurzaam inzetbaar wordt en blijft. Het kabinet zet daarbij in op het vergroten van de leercultuur en één ieders eigen regie. Hierbij worden werkenden en werkzoekenden door overheid, brancheorganisaties en werkgevers gestimuleerd en gefaciliteerd. Er zijn tal aan sectorale, regionale en landelijke initiatieven gericht op het vergroten van de leercultuur, eigen regie en deelname aan LLO. Voorbeelden vanuit de overheid zijn de SLIM- en STAP-regelingen.
