Profundizando en la segregación laboral. Sectores, ocupaciones y TIC en España

Abstract

El trabajo se plantea profundizar en el estudio empírico de la segregación laboral por género en España. Para ello, se persigue un doble objetivo. Por una parte, analizar cual ha sido el comportamiento de la segregación en España durante la actual crisis económica. De otra, averiguar el papel desempeñado por el empleo más estrechamente relacionado con las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC). Para ello, el trabajo primero mide la segregación desde una perspectiva bidimensional (sectores y ocupaciones laborales), para posteriormente identificar mediante su descomposición los factores más relevantes de su determinación y evolución. Por último, el trabajo identifica las características personales y laborales que sustentan las diferencias de segregación existentes por actividades económicas y ocupaciones laborales. Los resultados indican que poseer estudios superiores no vincula a la mujer con ámbitos segregados mientras que ser inmigrante es la característica más unida a la segregación laboral.
