20. Century?s Economic Crises and Their Effects on Turkey?s Economy

Abstract

Crises has evolved from one country?s or one region?s crisis to global systemic crisis which can affect the whole world because of the fact that overseas of the capital get easy anymore. In this context, the aim of this study examined economic crises which occur in 20. Century and analyzed their effects on Turkey?s economy. 1929 Great Depression Crisis and 1974 crises were global crises in essence whereas 1958, 1994 and 2000-2001 crises have been identified as Turkey-based crises. The reasons of these crises, Turkey?s interventions to get rid of crises and disruptions in country?s economy were analyzed in this study.
