Abstract

The main purpose of the study is to assess the contribution of education systems of the Russian Federation in their socio-economic development. The paper considers two approaches to assessing the contribution of education to the socio-economic development of regions of the Russian Federation on the basis of a narrow concept of "human capital" and based on the transformation of the educational potential in the labor force.
