Abstract

La croissance du nombre et de la proportion des personnes âgées s’accélère dans les pays industriels. Le vieillissement de la population est à la fois source de risques et de coûts élevés liés à la dépendance et à sa prise en charge. Mais il est aussi porteur d’opportunités d’innovations et d’effets stimulants sur la croissance. C’est le pari qu’ont fait les pouvoirs publics en France en lançant une «nouvelle filière » le 24 avril 2013, la « Silver économie » avec pour ambition de rassembler les acteurs concernés et d’accroître leur coordination. Dans cette recherche nous proposons le terme de géront’innovations pour regrouper l’ensemble des innovations technologiques mais aussi organisationnelles et commerciales générées par le vieillissement de la population. Nous mettons l’accent sur quelques technologies clés (la domotique et la robotique) et quelques domaines d’applications (l’alimentation, la mobilité, les services de soins aux personnes âgées). Finalement, nous discutons des enjeux associés à la diffusion de ces innovations.
