Abstract

The Nord/Pas-of-Calais area finishes little by little its industrial change and turns from now on to the European Market by positioning itself as a major strategic axis as regards transport. The road transport of goods is determining in this objective and must impose itself among its new competitors. It thus appears necessary to consolidate the potential of this sector while accentuating employment and training. As a preliminary, it is necessary to obtain a precise inventory of the fixtures of the sector to confer it the tools most adapted to its development and to the macro-economic objectives that it represents.
