Abstract

This study deals with the analysis of risk and performances of the maritime oil transport between Europe and the USA, based on a total quality approch, ensuing from the risk. One plan is divided in two parts: in the first part, we present the market and the risks of maritime oil transport. The aim of this development is to show in the first step the interest and the market structure of maritime oil transport; and the second step is dedicated to the study of the risk of maritime oil transport. The second part, made of two points, deals with the analysis of costs and performances of maritime oil transport. We first analyse the impact of risk on set and variable costs of maritime oil transport. Then, we show the impact of maritime oil transport risk on performances by the management of total quality.
