Abstract

Quality of life measured by the transportation system of a region becomes a significant variable in the development of individuals, which as a whole reflect the development of a locality. The motivation of this research focuses on the importance of the transport system Metro Cable Line K and impacts generated in the Commune one of Medellin during the period 2004-2008, characterized by high economic vulnerability, social and high density population relative to other districts of the city. Wanted then watch as this specific case of Medellín, the new transport infrastructure potentiates the development of mobility, seeking to generate a positive effect on access to downtown, saving time commuting, congestion vehicular traffic, environmental stewardship and impact on disposable income.
