Abstract

Diferenţele între nivelul de dezvoltare al regiunilor apar atunci când există o anumită specializare. Astfel, în noile teorii ale comerţului (modelul Marshall al economiei de scară, modulul Krugman privind competiţia monopolistă etc.) una din implicaţiile competitivităţii regionale o reprezintă specializarea industrială, care la rândul ei, precede economiile de scară şi determină reducerea costurilor şi creşterea beneficiilor. În România, localizarea unor industrii importante pentru dezvoltarea locală/regională este dependentă de existenţa unor resurse naturale specifice şi de tradiţii. Acest articol îşi propune să analizeze regiunile de dezvoltare prin prisma unor sectoare industriale relevante (din Topul naţional al firmelor din România), care oferă imaginea specializării regionale la nivelul anului 2003.
