Abstract

Globalization represents the deepening integration of markets for goods, services, and factors of production at the international level. An evaluation of Iran’s position in this process, measured through the trade integration index, indicates that the degree of integration of Iranian industrial goods into global markets remains comparatively low. Should Iran’s economy pursue integration primarily on the basis of revealed comparative advantages, its specialization would be largely confined to natural endowments—namely primary commodities and resource-based industries. To address this challenge and to promote sustainable export development, the strategic adoption of dynamic comparative advantages becomes essential. By cultivating these advantages, Iran can accelerate its integration into the global economy, thereby strengthening the foundations for long-term economic growth through deeper globalization.
