Abstract

The paper examines typical for the Labour and Social Security Law functions, in the aspect of their interrelationship, essence, and specificities in the circumstances of pandemic and the connected to it consequences on the respective category of public relations. The accent is put on both the traditional understanding of the nature of the functions of both law branches as well as their refraction through the prism of their development in emergency situations, imposing stronger commitment of the legislative mechanism for protection of basic and existential rights of the persons – the right to work, the right of social security and social protection. Based on the research the authors systematize conclusions and make proposals with specific theoretical and practical orientation.
