Actividades productivas no tradicionales: la producción de pieles de chinchillas en el Partido de General Pueyrredon

Abstract

Desde finales de la década del '90, Argentina es un reconocido productor de pieles de chinchilla, cuyo destino principal es la exportación. Se trata de un nicho de mercado que se constituye como una alternativa rentable para productores que complementen la obtención de pieles de chinchilla con otras actividades económicas. El presente trabajo sintetiza un estudio cualitativo llevado a cabo con casos de estudio seleccionados en el Partido de General Pueyrredon, focalizado en los aspectos organizativos que condicionan las decisiones de producción y las estrategias de comercialización.
