高齢者の職歴と健康状態

Abstract

本論文では,キャリアジョブ(就労期に最も長く従事した仕事)に注目し,キャリアジョブの違いが高齢期の健康度に与える影響について計量的に分析する.日本の高齢者を対象とした調査のマイクロデータを用いて分析した結果,キャリアジョブによって男性高齢 者の主観的健康度に違いが生じていることを確認する.ただし,Kaplan-Meier の残存率推定値とパラメトリックなハザードモデルの推定結果より,客観的な健康指標として身体活動能力の水準と慢性的な病気の経験を分析に用いた場合,キャリアジョブがブルーカラー職であった男性ほど身体活動能力が早く低下するのに対して,事務・販売・サービス職であった男性ほど慢性的な病気を早くに発症していることが示される.これらの結果は,労働者に要求される負荷や環境が職業によって異なっているために,就労期の職業によって高齢期の健康状態に差が生じているということを示唆している.
