Previous studies have pointed out that decisions on tenure and housing services demand have to be analyzed jointly. However, few have taken into account that for young people these decisions are taken simultaneously with household formation. This kind of analysis has not been carried out in Spain. Our aim is to analyze simultaneously these three decisions for young Spanish people. For that purpose a four equation econometric model is estimated. Two equations refer to household formation and tenure decisions and the other two to owners' and renters' housing services expenditure.
