Abstract

Die Triebkräfte des Aufschwungs in Deutschland sind ausgeglichen. Die Binnennachfrage wird von einem robusten privaten Konsum und von kräftigen Investitionen getragen, während sich die dynamischen Exporte infolge ebenfalls stark steigender Importe in einem nahezu ausgeglichenen Außenbeitrag niederschlagen. Das IMK prognostiziert ein Wachstum des Bruttoinlandsprodukts von 2,4 % für 2018 und 2,2 % für 2019, wobei die konjunkturelle Dynamik in etwa gleich hoch bleibt. Die Verbraucherpreise steigen in beiden Jahren um jeweils 1,6 %. Die Arbeitslosenquote sinkt 2018 auf 5,3 % und 2019 auf 5,0 %. Die entscheidenden negativen Risiken für die Prognose sind politischer Natur. So stellen die protektionistischen Töne und Handlungen wie auch die angestrebte Deregulierung der Finanzmärkte in den USA ein nennenswertes Risiko dar. Die protektionistischen Maßnahmen der US-amerikanischen Regierung können sowohl direkt als auch indirekt auf die Produktion in Deutschland und im Euroraum wirken. Direkt drohen Exporteinbußen, indirekt werden die Geschäftserwartungen gedämpft und die Unsicherheit erhöht sich.
