IMK Inflationsmonitor - Inflation sinkt im Juni 2026 auf 2,3 %, niedrigerer Rohölpreis verdeutlicht EZB-Fehlentscheidung

Abstract

Die Inflationsrate in Deutschland ist im Juni 2026 um 0,3 Prozentpunkte auf 2,3 % gesunken. Ausschlaggebend war eine geringere, wenn auch noch hohe Teuerung bei Kraftstoffen. Der Preisauftrieb bei Nahrungsmitteln blieb schwach und die Kernrate verharrte bei 2,4 %. Die HVPI-Inflation fiel mit 2,4 % ebenfalls geringer aus als zuvor und lag insbesondere wegen des Tankrabatts unter der des Euroraums (2,8 %). Die geringere Teuerung bei den Kraftstoffpreisen (11,3 % nach 18,0 % im Mai 2026) entlastet insbesondere Familien mit geringen und mittleren Einkommen, die im April 2026 als Folge des Irankriegs die höchsten haushaltsspezifischen Inflationsraten aufwiesen. Seither ist der Beitrag von Kraftstoffen zu diesen haushaltsspezifischen Inflationsraten auch infolge des Tankrabatts um 0,8 Prozentpunkte gefallen. Der durch den Irankrieg ausgelöste Energiepreisschock erhöht nicht nur die Inflation, sondern belastet auch die Wirtschaft im Euroraum erheblich. Das gilt insbesondere in Deutschland, wo die Industrie bereits unter der kombinierten Last von US-Zöllen, Euro-Aufwertung, starkem Wettbewerbs-druck aus China und hohen Energiepreisen infolge des Ukrainekriegs leidet. Derzeit ist nicht absehbar, wie lange der Preisschock anhält und ob es nennenswerte Zweitrundeneffekte geben wird. Die EZB bremst die Konjunktur daher derzeit zusätzlich, ohne dass dafür ein hinreichender ökonomischer Grund besteht.
