Bonded labour in agriculture : a rapid assessment in Sindh and Balochistan, Pakistan

Abstract

Describes the main characteristics of the agricultural sector and the agricultural labour force in two provinces of Pakistan and investigates evidence of debt bondage and other forms of forced labour. Identifies factors that give rise to the bonded labour relationship, describes its key elements and makes recommendations for action and future research.
