Abstract

"Die vorliegende regionale Analyse untersucht die coronabedingten Auswirkungen auf den Arbeitsmarkt in Berlin und Brandenburg. Im Vordergrund steht dabei der Corona-Effekt, der den Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit im Zuge der Corona-Pandemie abbildet. Insbesondere für Berlin fällt dieser Effekt deutlich höher aus als in Brandenburg und im bundesweiten Mittel. Zwischen den Kreisen in Brandenburg zeigen sich deutliche Unterschiede. Die Regionen im Norden Brandenburgs weisen einen höheren Corona-Effekt auf. Grundsätzlich betrifft der Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit primär Personen in SGB III, da dieser Bereich stark von der Dynamik des Arbeitsmarktes beeinflusst ist. Auch im Hinblick auf die soziodemografischen Faktoren gibt es deutliche Unterschiede in der Betroffenheit durch die coronabedingte Arbeitslosigkeit. Jüngere Menschen, Personen mit ausländischer Staatsangehörigkeit und auch Langzeitarbeitslose verzeichnen die höchsten prozentualen Anstiege in der Arbeitslosigkeit." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
