Abstract

"The high price level for energy, raw materials and intermediate inputs has a considerable impact on the German economy. Data from the IAB Establishment Panel 2023 provide information on how many and which establishments are negatively affected by this. The authors investigate how business volume and employment developed in these and other establishments not negatively affected by the crisis in the past year and what the establishments‘ expectations are for the current year."
