Abstract

Cet article propose une définition et une comparaison structurale des systèmes nationaux de protection sociale alimentaire (SNPSA) en France et au Brésil en transposant au registre alimentaire la description des systèmes de protection sociale de Théret (1997). Nous décrivons les SNPSA comme une médiation entre ordres économique, politique et reproductif face à la marchandisation conjointe de la terre et de l'alimentation. L'analyse montre que les deux pays constituent deux idéaux-types opposés à travers l'analyse des référentiels mobilisés dans la fabrique des politiques publiques, en confrontant analyse inductive et structurale. La France représente une alliance historiquement faible entre la sphère reproductive et politique dans l'accès à l'alimentation, alors qu'au Brésil y réside un objet important de la légitimation de l'action de l'État fédéral. Nous expliquons ces différenciations sur la base des synchronies et asynchronies des mouvements sociaux populaires et ruraux.
