Abstract

This consolidated report provides an overview statistical analysis conducted on ten case-studies. The first section present background information on the surveys carried out, with a description of sample method and implementation on the surveys in the ten case-studies. The second section aims at comparing agri-environmental schemes (AESs) participants and non-participants according to the characteristics farms and farm operators. The third section focuses on AESs contracted by farmers in the sample and gives an overview of the main types of measures. Finally, section four aims at identifying the key-factors underlying farmers' decision to uptake an AES.
