Abstract

Les systèmes de distribution alimentaire (SDA) des pays en développement sont l'objet de profondes transformations ces dernières années. L'objectif de cette étude commandité par l'AFD est d'identifier des domaines prioritaires pour améliorer la capacité des SDA à répondre aux enjeux de sécurité alimentaire et sanitaire pour les populations urbaines. Les données de cette étude sont issues d'enquêtes qualitatives et quantitatives auprès des consommateurs et acteurs de différentes filières alimentaires de l'agglomération de Rabat au Maroc. Nous montrons que les bassins d'approvisionnement en produits frais se sont éloignés et réorganisés depuis un certain nombre d'années ; mais les problèmes d'accessibilité des populations précaires aux aliments sont plus préoccupants que les problèmes de compétitivité. Par ailleurs, les problèmes de qualité sanitaire restent un enjeu majeur.
