Abstract

Thirty years after the creation of the Erasmus programme, studying abroad during higher education remains a popular choice. While there is a general belief that it enhances employability, is this truly the case? What is the value of this experience in terms of employment opportunities and salary levels? This Céreq Bref is based on the 2017 Génération survey data and examines the professional benefits of international student mobility, with a particular focus on the professions that are most likely to value it, i.e. those that generally provide managerial jobs.
