Abstract

A l'intersection des champs du travail, de l'éducation et de la mobilité sociale et professionnelle, la formation post-scolaire (ou formation continue) se présente comme diverse dans ses objets de recherche comme dans ses pratiques et ses institutions. Ce chapitre vise à donner un aperçu des approches les plus représentatives de la sociologie de la formation post-scolaire. Trois dimensions structurent le propos : l'analyse des politiques publiques de formation, de la promotion sociale au compte personnel de formation, précède celle des pratiques et rapports sociaux de formation en entreprise, puis débouche sur une caractérisation de l'évolution des approches sociologiques de la formation post-scolaire. La question des comparaisons internationales est évoquée en conclusion.
