Abstract

Introduit en 2008 par un groupe inconnu, le bitcoin est la plus médiatisée parmi une centaine de monnaies électroniques actuellement en circulation. La position actuelle des instances de régulation dans différents pays a été présentée dans un rapport sénatorial en août 2014. On doit souligner les interprétations multiples des autorités sur les plans légal, monétaire mais aussi fiscal. On doit noter aussi une certaine réticence du côté des institutions financières, notamment des banques, en raison d'un risque de mauvaise réputation qu'elles jugent inacceptable.
