Abstract

En el seno de la arquitectura institucional que diera origen al crecimiento del período posterior a la Segunda Guerra Mundial, el Estado-providencia tuvo un papel importante en el éxito de ese régimen, dado que acompañó a las profundas transformaciones sociales ligadas a la urbanización y al reimpulso de la industrialización, contribuyó a estabilizar los ciclos económicos y, finalmente, a limitar las desigualdades, producto de la cobertura social con lo cual facilitó la legitimación política de dicho régimen económico.
