Abstract

This article examines the relation between identity and responsibility. It analyses the three aspects of this link. The first one is based on the redifinition of the notion of responsibility and oposes responsibility ex-post and responsibility ex-ante. The second one corresponds to the analysis of the link itself between identity and responsibility. We propose two possible interpretations of this link with regards of responsibility ex-ante. A structuraliste interpretation and an interactionniste interpretation. The third one puts in evidence the central role of the symbolic capital in this relation and we emphasize that the risk of social contestation is narrowly linked to this form of capital.
