Abstract

L'objet de ce chapitre est d'analyser une dimension importante de la culture, qui est celle de la confiance et qui joue un rôle important dans le management t la performance des rapprochements d'entreprises. Il s'attache, à partir d'une définition de la notion de confiance, à identifier la spécificité de la confiance dans les cultures française et allemande et, partant, à l'illustrer dans les relations inter-organisationnelles franco-allemandes à partir d'un exemple concret, celui de la fusion EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company). En effet, la notion de confiance, multiplexe (à la fois complexe et aux aspects multiples), polysémique, difficilement palpable, insaisissable et difficile à opérationnaliser, a pris une place croissante dans la littérature tant académique que managériale, que ce soit d'un point de vue interpersonnel, intra-organisationnel ou inter-organisationnel.
