Abstract

Après un rapide rappel des processus historiques et des logiques de la mondialisation libérale, l'auteure décortique, grâce à de nombreuses données d'organismes officiels, les mécanismes fondamentaux à l'oeuvre. Elle explique l'importance hégémonique du capital financier, la hiérarchisation des pôles mondiaux de décisions et son système associé d'interdépendance asymétrique (la dette, la dégradation des termes de l'échange). Elle montre que la fracture sociale (la pauvreté, l'immigration ou la délinquance) est une résultante structurelle de la mondialisation ainsi que les multiples conflits armés ou guerres qui se déroulent actuellement sous nos yeux. L'auteure engage également une réflexion sur le rôle des principaux acteurs en montrant l'action prépondérante des grandes sociétés transnationales et des organismes internationaux tels que le FMI ou l'OMC.
