Les coûts financiers et humains de la guerre en Irak et en Afghanistan, un bilan

Abstract

L'estimation du coût d'une guerre fait l'objet de nombreuses hypothèses, dont la réalisation reste aléatoire. Au départ de la guerre, l'intervention militaire américaine en Irak avait été estimée à 60 milliards de dollars, puis à 200 milliards de dollars. Cependant, seuls les coûts budgétaires ont été retenus. Globalement, des deux conflits ont coûté plus de 20 fois cette somme, si l'ont tient compte des effets directs et indirects du conflit.
