Abstract

La généralisation du reporting sociétal a été accompagnée d'une remise en cause de sa qualité. En conséquence, de nombreuses entreprises se sont mises à solliciter une vérification sociétale, l'objectif étant de fiabiliser leur reporting. Les préconisations apportées par la loi Grenelle 2 mettent en évidence la nécessité pour les entreprises de réaliser une vérification sociétale et renforcent l'intérêt de l'étude de cette pratique. A l'aide d'entretiens auprès de vérificateurs sociétaux et d'une analyse de leurs documents de travail, notre recherche a pour objectif d'étudier la vérification sociétale dans un contexte réglementaire particulier. Les résultats suggèrent que la mise en place d'une vérification sociétale est une réponse apportée à différentes formes de pressions dans un objectif d'obtention de légitimité.
