Abstract

Cet article étudie le Groupe TUI et sa chaîne hôtelière Magic Life. Les succès remarquables de ce Groupe en matière de développement durable l'ont amené à développer ses propres normes et standards. Malheureusement, les politiques publiques et les initiatives privées comme celle de TUI sont aujourd'hui entravées par les réticences des entreprises locales à l'égard des projets en cours. Ceci montre qu'une démarche de développement "de tourisme durable" doit pouvoir s'appuyer sur l'ensemble des parties prenantes (Gouvernement, entreprises, citoyens, groupe d'intérêts) pour être véritablement efficace.
