Abstract

This paper aims at understanding the role of networking for the development of smart city services by leveraging the interpretive potential of Public-Private Innovation Networks in Services (ServPPINs). We address the role, structure and nature of ‘smartServPPINs', and the drivers influencing their performance in realizing technological and non-technological innovations for cities' smart development. An explorative analysis of two European case studies of ‘smartServPPINs' is conducted.
