Abstract

Dans cet article l'auteur analyse les caractéristiques des innovations dans le domaine des biotechnologies végétales et, en particulier, la capacité de l'innovateur à pouvoir exclure l'accès et à limiter ou non des rivalités dans les usages. Ensuite, il rappelle brièvement l'histoire des biotechnologies agricoles et des statuts tant pour les inputs que pour les résultats de la recherche. Puis il présente les divers modes de gestion collectifs qui ont été mis en oeuvre. Enfin, il termine par une analyse prospective sur la création de nouveaux biens communs dans le domaine de la sélection génomique.
