Abstract

Les technologies de l'information continuent à monter en puissance et en sophistication dans les entreprises, y compris dans les PME. Pour elles, investir dans un progiciel de gestion intégré - ERP - correspond à un investissement informatique majeur assimilable à une décision stratégique. Notre recherche teste l'influence des priorités stratégiques des PME sur leur choix de recourir ou non à un système ERP. Sur la base d'une investigation auprès de 2000 répondants, nous montrons que, pour gagner en efficience opérationnelle, seul un positionnement stratégique des PME basé sur leur réactivité influence positivement la probabilité d'adopter un ERP. Les stratégies d'affaires centrées sur les caractéristiques des produits n'ont, elles, pas d'influence. En complément, nous confirmons que la taille, l'appartenance à un groupe ainsi que la maturité informatique de la PME sont des facteurs influençant favorablement le recours à un ERP.
