Abstract

Pour permettre la comparabilité des premiers états financiers en IFRS, la norme IFRS 1 exige la présentation d'au moins un exercice comparatif retraité conformément aux IFRS. Cette norme impose des retraitements obligatoires et prévoit également des options (appelées exemptions). Dans cet article nous étudions les choix comptables des sociétés non financières du SBF 120 dans l'établissement de leurs états financiers comparatifs. L'étude empirique montre que l'impact du basculement vers les IFRS est relativement limité en termes d'agrégats financiers. Toutefois, cette apparente stabilité résulte d'une polititque comptable des sociétés. L'exercice des options d'IFRS 1 permet aux entreprises de compenser l'impact des retraitements obligatoires. Nos résultats montrent également que les entreprises les plus endettées du SBF 120 on profité du passage aux IFRS pour améliorer le montant de leurs capitaux propres et, par là même, leur ratio d'endettement.
