Abstract

Le travail présenté dans ce document a été réalisé entre 1997 et 2000 dans le cadre de l'Action Thématique Programmée du Cirad "approvisionnement des villes, les organisations au coeur des ajustements" en partenariats avec différentes institutions de recherche au Cameroun : Institut National de la Cartographie, Université de Yaoundé II, Centre Régional Bananiers et Plantains, Institut de Recherche agricole pour le Développement. Partant de l'hypothèse selon laquelle l'instabilité des prix est un indicateur de l'insécurité alimentaire, le présent document analyse la relation entre "variabilité de sprix" et accés aux ressources alimentaires" pour huits produits (plantain, macabo, igname, manioc, maïs, riz, tomate, oignon) qui composent l'alimentation de base des populations urbaines des villes de Yaoundé et Douala. Des enquêtes permettent de révéler les organisations mises en oeuvre par les commerçants et les consommateurs pour faire face aux fluctuations des prix.
