Abstract

Le salariat connaît une phase critique de son histoire, suscitant un débat sur la signification de ses métamorphoses et les horizons possibles de son devenir. S'agit-il de renforcer les institutions du salariat ? De créer de nouveaux droits attachés à la personne, non à l'emploi ? De rechercher l'émancipation du travail au-delà du salariat, en concevant aussi de nouvelles formes d'association et de coopération ? Cet ouvrage s'insère au sein de ce débat en partant de deux figures professionnelles, l'intermittent du spectacle et le journaliste pigiste. Figures d'exception du point de vue du droit du travail, elles sont exemplaires des mutations du salariat pour trois raisons : il s'agit de figures hybrides qui se situent entre le travail salarié et le travail indépendant, de travailleurs précaires et qui intègrent des organisations du travail par projet. Tout au long de l'ouvrage, les deux coordinatrices mettent en dialogue intermittents du spectacle, directeurs de compagnie, journalistes pigistes et chercheurs en sciences sociales et cherchent à en tirer des conclusions plus générales pour l'invention d'un salariat au-delà du salariat. Ce livre s'adresse aux chercheurs en sciences sociales, aux professionnels du spectacle ou du journalisme et à tous ceux qui s'intéressent au futur du travail et de la protection sociale.
